Black Stars head coach, Otto Addo, says he and his coaching staff aim to increase Ghana’s probability of winning games as part of his plan to Ghana back to the top.
He said this in an interview ahead of Ghana’s friendly game against Nigeria in Morocco on Friday, March 22 with the Black Stars set to play against Uganda in another friendly on March 26.
Addo got appointed recently as head coach in the wake of Ghana’s disappointing 2023 AFCON campaign that ended in a group stage exit without a win that prompted the dismissal of Chris Hughton as head coach.
While hoping for a quick start against Nigeria to help Ghana’s chances of beating Nigeria, Otto Addo highlighted how low Ghana has fallen and what he intends to do about it. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
“We have to be honest to ourselves, the last two AFCONS, we didn’t do so well…In the end, it’s impossible to predict if you win or lose but my aim and the aim of the whole coaching staff is to increase the probability that we win. For this, we have plans, we have ideas,…we want to execute them on the field.”
Former Black Stars player Otto Addo guided Ghana to the 2022 World Cup as an interim head coach; he recently named fellow ex Black Stars players Fatau Dauda and John Paintsil to his coaching staff. (Click highlighted text to read full story)
