Team USA stood above all when the 3rd edition of the Rainbow Nations Challenge Tennis Tournament which was held at the Accra Lawn Tennis Court  in Accra came to its conclusion.

Team USA which was represented by Patrick Nortey and Ismael Asmal overcame injury and fatigue to beat an energetic and competitive Team Japan represented by Hiro Sekine and Akira Oshima.

Fans were entertained by the finalists in a match with lots of twists and turns as the United States duo eventually triumphed 6-3.

Speaking on the sidelines of the tennis competition, Grant Webber, who is the Chairman of Ghana South Africa Business Chamber of Commerce told Citi Sports the tennis competition serves as a means of networking for businesses.

“We started this three years ago. It is a networking opportunity among the international business community and diplomatic corp. This is something fresh and it’s worked quite well. This is our 3rd one and we have had a full complement of 56 players every year from 20 countries both men and women. It’s been an incredible experience and everyone keeps asking when is the next one. “

The Rainbow Nations Challenge Tennis Tournament  aimes at fostering closer relationships with the international diplomatic and business communities in Ghana.
