Medeama Sporting Club head coach Nebojsa Kapor has described left full back Fatawu Hamidu’s free kick goal against Nations FC as “amazing”.
He said this in his post game press interview after Medeama drew 1-1 with Nations at the Dr. Kwame Kyei Sports Complex at Abrankese.
Hamidu curled in the brilliant free kick in the 34th minute for the game’s first goal but Asamoah Boateng Afriyie equalized for the home side.
Speaking after the game, Kapor praised the quality of the Black Stars player’s strike while registering his disappointment over the draw stating,
“About the results, I am never satisfied if we didn’t win the match but the game was tough as I said before the game, I expected a good performance from both teams”
“The result wasn’t perfect…that was an amazing free kick really. This is always the advantage in football if you have players like him in the squad. That was amazing.”
Medeama rank 10th in the Ghana Premier League standings after having played two games fewer than league leaders Samartex.
