Assistant head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak, Abdul Bashiru Rahim, says the Phobians downturn in form is a big worry to the club.

He said this in an interview after Hearts lost 2-0 to Medeama Sporting Club at the Akoon Park to lose a third game in a row.

Losing back to back games represent a sharp contrast in form for Hearts of Oak who kicked off the second round of the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season with a five game unbeaten run in the wake of the appointment of Aboubakar Ouattara as head coach.

“It’s “setbacks” is a big worry to us…because in the second half, the boys didn’t play according to the coach’s game plan. In the first half, we play so well in the second half I don’t know what went on. We have to stand on our feet and do a lot of corrections if really we want to do something in this league.”

Hearts of Oak rank 11th in the league with 32 points from winning seven games, drawing games and losing games in 25 outings.
