Accra Hearts of Oak snapped its losing streak by registering an impressive 3-1 win over Karela United in the Ghana Premier League.

The Phobians had lost three straight games in the lead up to the tie but made amends by getting the much needed win after reeling off four wins in a row to commence the second round of the 2023-2024 league season.

Despite conceding a Dafie Humid goal, Hearts fought back and got a brace from Hamza Issah either side of Salim Adams’ superb strike in the 63rd minute after coming off the bench.

Adams received a pass from Equito-Guinean player Otanga Muovo close to the center circle, took a touch and arrowed the ball into the net close to the right corner of the goal to spark frenzy celebrations from teammates and fans.

In his post game interview, Hearts assistant coach, Abdul Rahim Bashiru, described Adams’ as a “perfect, fantastic goal by all standards”.
