CAF CONFED CUP: Abdul Karim Zito has done tremendously well- Mohammed Polo

Mohamed Polo, former head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak and victor of the Afcon in 1978, has lauded the impressive performance of Dreams FC head coach, Abdul Karim Zito.

Polo commends Zito’s remarkable achievements, emphasizing the significant impact he’s made.

Dreams FC finds themselves on the cusp of history, just two games away from clinching their inaugural CAF Confederation Cup title, following a goalless draw in the first leg of the semi-finals against Zamalek in Cairo.

In Polo’s view, Zito’s efforts have alleviated some of the pressure on the Ghana Football Association, offering a bright spot amid the challenges faced in the sport.

I think he has done tremendously well because the expectation brought tension on the FA.

I have already mentioned that this GFA is the best FA I have ever seen. I have been in the system and been with the FA.

I have seen different GFA but this is one of them who have come and impacted our football.

Dreams FC is currently in Kumasi preparing for the return encounter against Zamalek on Sunday.

Karim Zito will rely on his experience from winning the 1983 CAF Champions League to propel Dreams to win its first CAF Confederation Cup.

Accra Hearts Oak and Asante Kotoko were the last Ghanaian clubs to play in the final of the CAF Confederation Cup in 2004, with Hearts of Oak winning 8-7 on penalties after a 2-2 drawn game at the Baba Yara sports stadium.
