CAF CONFED CUP: We will plan well to meet “the SHARKS” – Karim Zito on facing Zamalek in semis

Dreams FC Head Coach, Abdul Karim Zito has playfully remarked that his team will be thoroughly prepared to face the top contenders in the upcoming semifinals of the ongoing CAF Confederation Cup.

His remarks came during the post-game press conference after Dreams FC secured their spot in the semifinals with a 3-2 aggregate victory over Stade Malien at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Sunday in the second leg of the quarter-finals.

Sylvester Simba’s crucial equalizer in the 70th minute ensured the progression of the “Still Believe Lads,” marking the first time in the club’s history that they have reached this stage of the competition.

Abdul Karim Zito was asked about the upcoming challenge his team will confront in the semifinals against a formidable opponent.

Here’s his response:

You made mention of sharks, do you go all out on sharks? he quizzed

You have to plan well, so we are going to plan well to meet the sharks.

Dreams FC, winners of the Ghanaian FA Cup, are set to take on the Egyptian powerhouse Zamalek in the semi-finals of the CAF Confederation Cup.

The opening leg of the matchup is scheduled to be held in Cairo on April 21, followed by Dreams hosting the return leg in Kumasi seven days later.
