Bibiani Gold Stars head coach, Stephen Frimpong-Manso, says that though his team lost to Accra Lions, his team’s approach to the game was fine.

He said this in a postgame interview after Gold Stars lost 2-0 to Accra Lions at the Accra Sports Stadium a week after beating Accra Hearts of Oak at the same venue.

While pinning Gold Stars loss on the exhausting travel schedule his team has had to endure in the past few weeks, coach Frimpong-Manso was adamant his team’s approach to the game was fine despite missing out on a win. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“They have ball jugglers, technical players so we also had to have more midfielders in the game. If we had played two attackers, we would have had lesser numbers in the midfield. At home, it would be okay but away, against such a team who are very comfortable, it’s not advisable. The approach I think we started well; it’s just that we conceded a goal in the first half.”
