An individual, reportedly associated with Los Angeles Football Club as a fan, has racially abused Ghana winger Joseph Paintsil in the wake of the latest El Trafico.

The derby clash between the Los Angeles Galaxy and Los Angeles Football Club ended in a 2-1 loss for the Galaxy in a game Paintsil played out the entire duration.

The 26 year old successfully completed two of six dribble attempts, passed the ball accurately 28 out of 31 times and won eight of 17 ground duels in the contest.

However, Paintsil’s impressive start to life in the Major League Soccer (MLS) after a headline move from Belgian side KRC Genk, got rocked in the aftermath of the loss as the individual posted a racist message on Paintsil’s Instagram page. When reacting to a “story” from the Black Stars player.

The individual posted “Mon Key couldn’t do anything today” and added a laughing emoji to the message that drew widespread condemnation in the comment section of social media platform Reddit.
