Ghanaian investigative journalist, Anas Aremeyaw Anas, has flat out denied any involvement in demanding $150,000 and refunding $100,000 to Kwesi Nyantakyi in an alleged attempt to kill off his very popular Number 12 Documentary.

The June 2018 feature report shed light on corruption in Ghana football and captured several leading football figures including former Ghana Football Association (GFA) President Kwesi Nyantakyi playing a key role in suspicious football related moves.

The aftermath of the documentary’s airing had Nyantakyi resign from his post and get slapped with a lifetime ban from football by FIFA. The world football governing body reduced the ban to 15 years.

In an interview on Onua TV, Nyantakyi alleged that Anas , through his lawyers demanded for $150,000 to shelf the documentary but the veteran football administrator paid $100,000 which proved inadequate as the documentary got aired. (Click highlighted text text to read full story)
