Medeama celebrate goal against Hearts of Oak

Medeama Sporting Club head coach, Nebojsa Kapor, says his team’s poor first half performance was down to the pressure of losing back to back games in previous league outings.

The Tarkwa based side beat Accra Hearts of Oak SC at the Akoon Park on the back of recording 1-0 losses to Accra Lions and FC Samartex respectively.

Kapor’s team experienced the opposite of what Hearts of Oak went through as Hearts assistant coach, Bashiru Rahim, expressed his displeasure over his team’s second half performance after a playing out a better first half outing. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“This match was very tough especially in the first half maybe because of pressure because we lost two matches. This is always something very difficult for players; we made some basic mistakes but after we calmed down a little and achieved a good performance and this is the reason why we scored two goals and won this match.”

Medeama have moved to fifth place in the Ghana Premier League standings with the win over Hearts that had Kobbina Amoah and Godfred Abban score for Medeama.
