Football legend Asamoah Gyan says the present Black Stars era is West Ham United midfielder Mohammed Kudus’ era.

His statement adds to a strong call for Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team to be built around the 23 year old who is competing in the English Premier League for the first time.

Gyan’s made the comment on Asempa FM as he kick starts his media tour to promote the Regional Games which is a competition that aims at promoting sports at the regional level.

Kudus joined West Ham in the 2023 main transfer window from Dutch side Ajax Amsterdam for 37 million pounds and has produced seven goals and five assists in 26 league games.

For the Black Stars, Kudus missed the 2023 AFCON opener against Cape Verde to injury but recovered to star in games against Mozambique and Egypt where he won the Man of the Match Award in both games.

“So far it’s obvious. When I say it’s obvious, I mean you know Mohammed Kudus” Gyan responded on who should the Black Stars build around.
