Black Stars goalkeeper coach, Fatau Dauda, has sent a heartfelt message to Nigeria National Men’s Football Team goalkeeper Stanley Nwabali as the Super Eagle inches towards an exit from South Africa Premier League side Chippa United.

Nwabali’s time at Chippa United is coming to an end with the Nigerian stopper rejecting the chance to extend his stay with the club according to reports prompting interest from Belgian side Union Saint-Gilloise and Championship side Queens Park Rangers.

Following his impressive run with Nigeria at the 2023 AFCON that had the West African nation make it to the final, Nwabali’s stock sharply rose and his potential move served as the theme in Dauda’s message.

Dauda and Nwabali were teammates at Nigerian Premier League side Enyimba FC when Dauda spent time with the team from 2016 to 2019.

“We used to share the same locker room in Aba Nigeria 2019, with the most successful club in Nigeria (Enyimba International football club) “The people’s Elephant” Keep on being a listener as always. Stanley Nwabali aka “BoBo” stay focus and keep pushing, I wish you all the best in your career” he wrote on his X page.

Fatau Dauda represented Ghana at the 2014 FIFA World Cup

The two connected when Ghana lost 2-1 to Nigeria in an international friendly game. In a related development, Black Stars goalkeeper, Richard Ofori, has been, penned as Nwabali’s replacement at Chippa United according to Daily Post Nigeria and Football Live Nigeria.
