Accra Hearts of Oak midfielder Salim Adams says his team was very determined to score a win over Berekum Chelsea to end its poor run of form.
Hearts had lost four in five league games ahead of the Berekum Chelsea tie and ended up beating Chelsea 3-0 at the Berekum Golden City Park to end the run.
Speaking in a post game interview, Adams talked about his team’s high level of determination to score the win in the face of “mental struggles” as stated by Hearts head coach Aboubakar Ouattara.
“We were expecting to win by five not three because we were determined to win this game because we know we are not in normal times” before addressing issues concerning his inconsistent performances stating, “yeah I know, I am going to work hard on that. As I said we are not in normal times so I am going to work hard on that.”

The win over Chelsea was made sweeter since it came at the expense of former Hearts head coach Samuel Boadu who is in charge of the Berekum side.
