We will work as a team- Steven Mukwala on injury absences for Hearts of Oak clash

Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club striker, Steven Mukwala, says the Porcupine Warriors will adopt a team approach in its next league game.

Mukwala said this as Kotoko prepare to take on bitter rival Accra Hearts of Oak on Sunday, May 26 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

However, Kotoko is very likely to play the game without midfielders Sherif Mohammed and Richmond Lamptey due to injuries.

Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum’s team is also sweating over the fitness of fellow midfielder Serge Zeze who checked out of Kotoko’s 2-1 loss to Berekum Chelsea due to injury.

Speaking to Kotoko media ahead of the must win game for Kotoko with the Kumasi lads ranked 10th in the 18 team league standings, Mukwala stated,

“Kotoko is a big club of which Kotoko can’t depend on individuals we will work as a team. So basically for Lamptey’s issue, I know Zeze can also play the same part as Lamptey or equally good as Lamptey so I don’t think it will be a threat to us.”
