Ghana midfielder Mohammed Kudus’ fine debut season in the English Premier League has ended with a second-place finish in West Ham United’s Player of the Season Award.
Kudus finished behind England international Jarrod Bowen who has made 30 goal contributions in all competitions ahead of West Ham’s final game of the season against Manchester City on Sunday, May 19.
Bowen has 20 goals and 10 assists for The Hammers in the 2023-2024 season; the award was one of two Bowen picked up after emerging as the club’s top goal scorer of the year.
Kudus on the other hand, has seven goals and six assists in his debut campaign in the English Premier League and 13 goals and six assists in 44 games in all competitions for West Ham.
In West Ham’s penultimate game of the season, Kudus delivered another masterful dribbling display en route to assisting teenager George Earthy’s debut EPL goal. West Ham beat Luton Town 3-1.

Despite missing out on the Player of the Season Award, Kudus scooped up the Goal of the Season Award with his sensational strike against SC Freiburg in the Europa League earning him the prize.
