Liverpool boss Jürgen Klopp has said his disagreement with forward Mohamed Salah in last weekend’s draw to West Ham has been “completely” resolved.

TV camera showsed Salah and Klopp having an argument on the touchline during the 2-2 draw at the London Stadium last Saturday. After the match, the Egypt international did not reveal the reason behind the row, instead saying: “There is going to be fire today if I speak.

In a news conference on Friday, Klopp did not explain why the disagreement happened but insisted the pair have moved on.

“Completely resolved. It’s no problem. If we didn’t know each other for so long I’m not sure how we would deal with it but we know each other for that long and respect each other too much,” Klopp said.

“It’s really no problem so we can deal with these kind of things completely independent of any expectations from the outside.

“We are absolutely fine with it but in general the best situation would be, everybody in the best possible place, we win the game, score lots of goals and yes the situation probably would not have been like that. It all depends on each other.”

Liverpool’s hopes of adding to their Carabao Cup title in Klopp’s final season in charge are hanging by a thread after last weekend’s draw left them five points behind leaders Arsenal with three games remaining.

The Premier League is the only trophy still available to Liverpool this season after they were knocked out of both the FA Cup and Europa League.
