Ghana winger Ernest Nuamah has missed out on winning his first trophy with French side Olympique Lyon following a 2-1 loss in the Coupe de France (French Cup) Final to Paris Saint-Germain.
PSG got goals from Ousmane Dembele and Fabian Ruiz in the first half to lead the tie but Jake O’Brien scored what turned out to be a consolation goal for Lyon in the 55th minute.
Nuamah came off the bench in the 67th minute to replace fellow highly touted young winger Rayan Cherki; this marked his third appearance in the French Cup.
The 20 year old former FC Nordsjaelland player had 10 touches, completed all three attempts accurately but won just two of seven ground duels and got dribbled past four times.
PSG’s win marked the end of France captain Kylian Mbappe’s time at the club after announcing that he will leave the club at the end of the season.
In his debut season with Lyon, Nuamah played 29 times in the French Ligue 1 and produced three goals and two assists.

Nuamah made his debut with Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team-the Black Stars- in the 2023-2024 campaign and featured in the 2023 AFCON.
