Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has praised the support from fans who watched the team earn its second win in three games.

Dr. Ogum highlighted this in his post game interview after seeing his team beat Legon Cities 2-0 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi.

Kotoko’s unbeaten streak has extended to three games ahead of the final run of games to close out the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season. Nurudeen Mohammed and Steven Mukwala scored in the win. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

Speaking in the address, Dr. Ogum was grateful fans who gathered at the Baba Yara Stadium acted as supporters and not detractors.

“Today they came, they sang, they supported us. I didn’t see the ranting when they (the players) made the errors which is good because the more they rant at the players, the more they hoot and boo at the players, the more tensed they become when they are playing at Baba Yara.”

Kotoko Fans

“So they should keep this spirit for the rest of the five games and I’m sure we will be able to turn things around.”
