Brands Manager of Nations Football Club, Kennedy Boakye Ansah, says the club is far from excited over the club’s form in recent outings in the Ghana Premier League.

Despite ranking fourth in the league, Nations FC have a win, two draws and three losses in its last six games in the GPL.

The poor run of results have got Nations to slip from second place in the 18 team league standings to fourth place with 48 points.

Aduana Stars and Medeama have moved up to rank second and third place respectively in the league standings with both teams tallying 49 points. Aduana beat Nations 1-0 in the last round of league games.

Speaking in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports, Nations FC’s Brands Manager added that this type of drop off was to be expected from the team competing in the league for the first time.

“We are not excited with the performance of Nations FC. This is a team that just came from Division One and some of these things were expected. Our immediate target was to be able to stay in the Ghana Premier League.”
