Asante Kotoko completed a season double over their arch-rivals, Hearts of Oak, following a 2-0 victory on Sunday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium in a Ghana Premier League match week 31 fixture.

🔴 Steven Mukwala’s double secures all 3 points for the Porcupine Warriors in the #SuperClash against Accra Hearts of Oak.

In the first round, also held in Kumasi, Asante Kotoko triumphed with a 3-2 scoreline.

Ugandan striker Steven Mukwala was the star of the show, netting both goals in this latest encounter, mirroring his brace from the previous clash.

Mukwala capitalized on a lapse in the Hearts of Oak defence, controlling a superb overhead pass and finishing decisively within the first nine minutes, despite four defenders trailing him without making an effective challenge.

He sealed a remarkable performance with a stunning goal in stoppage time.

Picking up the ball just beyond the halfway line, Mukwala drove into the Hearts of Oak box, skillfully cut inside onto his right foot, and unleashed an unstoppable shot.

This victory propelled Asante Kotoko to ninth place in the league with 43 points, while Hearts of Oak dropped to 14th with 38 points, precariously close to the relegation zone.
