Black Stars defender, Abdul Baba Rahman, has reacted after winning the Greek Super League title in his debut season with PAOK Thessaloniki.
PAOK won the 2023-2024 season after beating Aris 2-1 in the Greek Super League Playoff finals to clinch the title with a two point difference over second placed AEK Athens in the standings.
In the playoffs, the former Chelsea FC player played nine games and registered a goal and an assist while featuring in 19 league games in the regular season and finishing with four goals and two assists.
Rahman ended the campaign as one of the top performers on the PAOK team despite suffering a health scare after collapsing on the pitch after making an aerial challenge.
Reacting to a video highlighting the full back’s impressive campaign, the former Kumasi Asante Kotoko SC player stated on his X (formerly Twitter) page that, “This is the just the beginning”.
Rahman’s 2023-2024 season had him miss out on competing in the 2023 AFCON after turning down an invitation to play for Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team to focus on his club career.
His contract with PAOK expires in June 2026.
