Mohammed Kudus at 2024 Ghana Football Awards

West Ham United midfielder, Mohammed Kudus, has stated that he feels privileged to be named Ghana Footballer of the Year for the second time.

Kudus beat the likes of Black Stars teammate Abdul Fatawu Issahaku to win the prestigious award for the second in his career at the 2024 Ghana Football Awards.

In his acceptance speech, Kudus took time to praise the efforts of Issahaku who starred in Leicester City’s promotion to the English Premier League (EPL). (Click highlighted text to read full story)

In his debut season with West Ham in the EPL, the 23 year old Kudus Mohammed registered 18 goals and seven assists in 48 games in all competitions.

Aside being Footballer of the Year for the second time in a row, Kudus’ brilliant goal against SC Freiburg in the Europa League was named Goal of the Year at this year’s Awards and the former Ajax player appreciated the achievement.

“I feel good, I’m privileged to be in this position. It’s a testament of my hard work and dedication. This is a motivation to keep going; I have a long way to still go so there’s a long way to go but I’m happy to have won it for the second time and it’s motivation for the upcoming season.”
