FIFA WCQ 2026: Black Stars arrive in Kumasi for C.A.R clash on Monday, June 10.

The Black Stars of Ghana have returned from Bamako, where they secured a thrilling 2-1 victory over Mali on Matchday 3 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers.

Jordan Ayew’s dramatic goal in the 94th minute clinched the win for Ghana at the Stade du 26 Mars on Thursday.

The team arrived at the Nana Agyemang Prempeh I International Airport in Kumasi at 1:15 am via ASKY Airlines flight.

They will now shift focus to preparing for their upcoming match against the Central African Republic, set for Monday, June 10, 2024.

In a hard-fought game, Mali took the lead through Kamory Doumbia just before halftime in the 45th minute.

Ghana responded in the second half, with Ernest Nuamah equalizing with a powerful header in the 58th minute.

The match seemed destined for a draw until Ayew, assisted by fellow substitute Abdul Fatawu Issahaku, netted the decisive goal in the final moments.

Ghana and Comoros are tied at the top of Group I with 6 points each.

Comoros will face Madagascar on Friday, June 7, 2024.

Ghana’s next challenge will be against the Central African Republic at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium on Monday, June 10, 2024.
