Reports reaching indicate that Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club are interested in signing two goalkeepers for the upcoming season.

Accra Great Olympics stopper Benjamin Asare and Bofoakwa Tano goalkeeper Emmanuel Kobi have landed on the radar of Hearts of Oak.

Both keepers however, had their teams relegated to the Division One after Bofoakwa finished 17th and Great Olympics finished 16th in the just ended league.

This comes after Hearts finished 14th in the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season and dangerously flirting with relegation for a stretch in the latter stages of the campaign.

One problem area in the playing body in the immediate past season was goalkeeping despite the Phobians having four goalkeepers on the team.

Richmond Ayi, Richard Attah, Kwesi Nketiah and Sharif Shuaib have had spells manning the post of the Phobians but have come under major scrutiny.

Despite suffering relegation with Great Olympics, Benjamin Asare starred in the league by recording the most clean sheets (16). Hearts are set to follow rivals Kumasi Asante Kotoko and embark on a mass clear out of players.
