Newly signed Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder, Emmanuel Antwi, has confessed that he has always wanted to play for Kotoko and is happy he has the chance to do so.

He said this in an interview with Kotoko media after his move to the Porcupine Warriors was sealed; he joins from Accra Great Olympics after a two year stint.

Great Olympics were relegated from the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season after ending the campaign ranked 16th in the 18 team league standings.

After sealing the move, Antwi, who has seven goals and three assists in 57 Ghana Premier League appearances, stated that despite having several offers from other clubs, Kotoko was his top pick.

“I’ve had a lot of club chasing my signature but I had a discussion with my management and we all agreed to join Asante Kotoko. I’ve always wanted to be here and I’m here so I’m happy to be here. It’s been a team that I’ve been really following.”
