New Kumasi Asante Kotoko midfielder Emmanuel Antwi has stated that the club made contact with him towards the end of the 2023-2024 Ghana Premier League season.

He said this in his exclusive interview with Kotoko media after joining the club on a three year deal worth reportedly $75,000 and revealed that he had always wanted to play for Kotoko. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

The 24 year old Antwi joins Kotoko after a two year stint with Accra Great Olympics; the Accra based side got relegated from the Ghana League after finishing 16th in the 18 team league standings last season.

Antwi revealed that Kotoko through head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, showed interest in him towards the end of the last campaign.

“He-Dr. Ogum- called me at the end of the season when the season was about to end…he told me he wanted me to join the club as soon as possible. He asked me if I’m interested and I said yes if the chance is there, I will just come in and do what I do best.”
