Delighted to get deal over the line- Jojo Wollacott after joining Crawley Town

Black Stars goalkeeper, Joseph (Jojo) Wollacott, says he is glad that his move to Sky Bet League One side Crawley Town FC from Scottish League side Hibernian FC was resolved quickly.

The move was completed on Thursday, July 18 with the 27 year old shot stopper penning a two year deal to return to the third tier of English football after spending time at Bristol City and Charlton Athletic previously.

Wollacott joined Hibernian on a three year deal last season but a thigh injury forced to sit out for a lengthy spell making just eight appearances for the club. Speaking after joining the club, Wollacott said, (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“I am delighted to get the deal over the line. It was a quick turnaround, so I am very happy it was done quickly. Unfortunately, last season did not work out for me, so I was looking for a solution. I know Scott (Lindsey- Crawley Town Manager) from my time at Swindon, and I really enjoyed working with, so this seemed like a great fit.”

Wollacott was part of the Black Stars squad that won two recent 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers against Mali and Central African Republic.
