Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club Board Member, Vincent Sowah-Odotei, has stated that the club’s newly built commercial centre, forms part of extensive plans to make the Phobia Club a pre-eminent club not just in Ghana but in Africa.
He said this in an interview with ChannelOne Sports after the commercial centre popularly known as The Phobia House was officially handed over to the club.
Hearts of Oak Executive Board Chairman Togbe Afede XIV led a high powered entourage including board members Odotei-Sowah and Akwasi Agyemang to inspect the facility and receive the handing over documents.
Echoing the sentiments of Togbe Afede XIV, veteran administrator Sowah-Odotei stated that the edifice helps the club’s ambitions of growing into a top club in Ghana and Africa.
“We are very happy and this is all part of strategic steps we are taking to make Hearts of Oak a pre-eminent club not just in Ghana but in Africa.”
“I’m sure a lot of people fail to realize that whatever you see on the playing field must be backed by some solid infrastructure and some solid steps, so we’ve taken the steps to build this Phobia House to be like the headquarters of the club that will show the stature of the club.”
