After spending the 2023-2024 French Ligue 1 campaign on loan at Olympique Lyon from Belgian League side Molenbeek, Ghanaian winger Ernest Nuamah has been handed a substantive deal by Lyon.

This comes on the back of intriguing campaign put together by the former FC Nordsjaelland player who cost Molenbeek in the region of 25 million Euros.

According to GetFrenchFootball, Nuamah’s deal will cost Lyon 28.5 million Euros and runs through to June 2028 after Nuamah produced seven goals and three assists in 39 games in all competitions last season. Six of those games were made with Norsdjaelland.

Nuamah’s new deal comes in the wake of fellow Ghanaian forward Antoine Semenyo’s five year contract extension with EPL side AFC Bournemouth.  (Click highlighted text to read full story)

After a poor start to the season that had Lauren Blanc and Fabio Grosso sacked as head coaches, Lyon recovered to finish sixth in the 18 team standings.
