Ghana Black Stars winger Abdul Fatawu Issahaku has registered his first assist in the English Premier League. Leicester City went on to draw 1-1 with Tottenham Hotspurs.
The 21 year old, who is competing in the EPL for the first time, slipped in a cross with his left foot from the right side that was met by an unmarked Jamie Vardy for the equalizer in the 57th minute.
Leicester, competing in the league for the first time on its return after getting relegated in the 2022-2023 season, got dominated by Spurs who scored the game’s opening goal via a Pedro Porro header in the 29th minute but recovered to deliver an improved performance in the second half.
A low point in the game came midway through the second half when Spurs midfielder Rodrigo Bentancur suffered a serious head injury and had to be stretchered off the pitch for further assessment.

Issahaku arrived at Leicester following The Foxes drop to the Championship on loan from Portuguese side Sporting Lisbon and had his move made permanent after starring in the lower tier campaign with seven goals and 13 assists.
