I’ve had my eyes on the EPL, coming to Coventry puts me in that position- Thomas-Asante

Black Stars striker Brandon Thomas-Asante has stated that playing in the English Premier League is his ambition and playing for Coventry City will help him realize this ambition.

He said this in an interview with Coventry City media after making his debut in a 2-1 loss to German side Werder Bremen ahead of the 2024-2025 season opener against Stoke City on Saturday, August 10.

Thomas-Asante recently joined Coventry from West Bromwich Albion on a four year deal for an undisclosed fee after flirting with a move to Hull City. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

After making his debut where he expected to score, the 25 year old English born Ghanaian player stated that joining Coventry will help him realize his ambition of playing in the English Premier League. (Click highlighted text to read full story)

“Goals and excitement. Moments. I love to be expressive and instinctive. I am playing freely which is something the manager he will allow me to do. I am super excited. I have had me eyes on the Premier League, I have always had my eyes on it. I feel like coming here, it will put me in that position. That is the task for the team and the club…we are going to make it happen.”

Thomas-Asante made his Black Stars in June, 2024 in a 4-3 win over C.A.R. in a 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier.
