Austin Football Club head coach, Josh Wolff, has described Ghana Black Stars winger Osman Bukari’s goal in Austin’s 2-0 win over Nashville Sporting Club away from home as “fantastic”.
The goal was Bukari’s debut strike in Austin colours since joining the club from Serbian side Red Star Belgrade in June.
Bukari capitalized on a defensive breakdown late in the game sped up the field and rounded up Nashville goalkeeper Joe Willis before slotting the ball into an empty net in the 84th minute.
Speaking in the post game interview after the win, Austin head coach Josh Wolff was pleased one of his midseason transfers got off the mark.
“We have a couple of ways we can maneuver if we see him struggle. I thought he did a good job taking in some of the information and some of them that we’ve worked on the last couple of weeks and applying it tonight so the goal was fantastic. It’s transition and as I mentioned in midweek, we’ve been much much better.”
Austin take on Vancouver Whitecaps next on August 31. Scroll down to watch Bukari’s goal.
