Black Stars celebrate win over Mali in Bamako

Ghana Black Stars head coach Otto Addo is expected to name his squad for upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifiers on Thursday, August 29 at 12:00 GMT at the Ghana Football Association (GFA) Headquarters.

Ghana’s National Men’s Football Team is scheduled to play against Angola on September 5 at the Baba Yara Stadium in Kumasi and play against Niger on September 9 away from home.

Ghana is coming off wins over Mali and Central African Republic in 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifiers in June after under performing at the 2023 AFCON that prompted the hiring of Otto Addo to replace Chris Hughton as Black Stars head coach.

After having strong starts to the 2024-2025 season, the likes of Jordan Ayew, Antoine Semenyo, Mohammed Kudus, Abdul Mumin and Thomas Partey for Leicester City, AFC Bournemouth, West Ham, Rayo Vallecano and Arsenal respectively, are expected to be named in the squad for the upcoming qualifiers.

Ghana is aiming to qualify to the 2025 AFCON that will be hosted in Morocco from December 21, 2025 to January 18, 2026.
