Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Prosper Narteh Ogum, has called his team’s upcoming game against Medeama Sporting Club as a fixture that presents a huge opportunity to exhibit its new look.
He said this in an interview with Kotoko media as Kotoko prepare for the 2024-2025 season which commences in September.
As part of the Porcupine Warriors preseason schedule in preparation for the new season, Kotoko take on Medeama on August 16.
“[That game presents a] huge opportunity because we’ve now assembled a different team with almost all our key targets in now so I think it’s good for us because we will have about two weeks to train and then whatever that we have done to go and exhibit it at Medeama to give us a technical team and as management, a fair idea of these players.”
“To me, playing against Medeama in a new stadium [newly built TNA Venue], looking at the old rivalry between Kotoko and Medeama at Tarkwa, I think it is going to bring the best out of the players.”
Kotoko finished sixth in last season’s Ghana Premier League standings and have signed 12 players at the time of writing.
