Black Stars Head Coach Otto Addo and his two assistants, John Paintsil and Fatau Dauda who were involved in a car accident over the weekend at the Tarkwa-Takoradi road have all arrived in camp to begin preparations for the upcoming matches against Angola and Niger in the upcoming 2025 AFCON qualifiers.
Head coach Otto Addo, his assistant John Paintsil, and goalkeeper’s trainer Fatawu Dauda were involved in the accident while returning from Tarkwa, but have now joined the team at Alisa Hotel in Accra.
The trio had been in Tarkwa over the weekend for the Champion of Champions match between Samartex and Nsoatreman.
They narrowly avoided a head-on collision with a pick-up truck on the Tarkwa-Takoradi road, resulting in damage to the left side of their Land Cruiser. Fortunately, no one was injured in the incident.
Citi Sports can confirm that all three have joined the national team camp and are expected to lead the Black Stars’ training session in preparation for the 2025 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Angola on Thursday at the Baba Yara Sports Stadium,
Ghana will face Angola on Thursday, September 5, and then play Niger four days later in Morocco.
