Head coach of Accra Hearts of Oak Sporting Club, Aboubakar Ouattara, has called for all stakeholders of the club particularly the fans to continue rooting for the team and not insult the team.

He said this in his post game presser after Hearts beat Bechem United 2-0 at the University of Ghana Stadium to clinch its first win in the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season.

Hearts were under a ton of pressure heading into the game after losing to Basake Holy Stars and Kpando Heart of Lions but second half goals from Ransford Mensah and Hamza Issah got Hearts the win and Ouattara seized the opportunity to call for unity.

“The fans, we are working for them. You can criticize, say everything you like but please the insults…it’s not the things we need. The unity, all the pieces of Hearts of Oak, all the structures to be together. When we are together, I think we can get good results. Hearts of Oak has a big project.”

At the time of writing, Hearts rank 10th in the 18 team league standings.
