Inaki Williams, Abdul Mumin nominated for Top La Liga Awards

Black Stars pair, Inaki Williams and Abdul Mumin, has been nominated for top awards in Spain’s La Liga in the month of September.

Athletic Bilbao forward Inaki Williams has been nominated for Player of the Month Award alongside Kylian Mbappe of Real Madrid, Lamine Yamal of FC Barcelona and Giovani Lo Celso of Real Betis.

This nomination comes on the back of Williams scoring a goal and registering four assists in three games for Bilbao; his production came on the back of featuring in both 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger for Ghana.

Like Williams, Abdul Mumin played for the Black Stars in the 1-0 loss to Angola and 1-1 draw with Niger and the Rayo Vallecano defender has been nominated for the La Liga Goal of the Month Award.

Mumin scored his first goal of the 2024-2025 season through a brilliant strike from the left side that sailed right into top corner against in a 3-1 win over Osasuna.
