Kamaldeen Sulemana’s transfer from Southampton to Ajax Amsterdam hangs in the balance as the transfer situation is expected to be cleared later today.
This is according to Dutch football media personality Mike Verweij who reports that Ajax’s transfer paperwork was submitted very late in the recently closed transfer window and the documents are subject to FIFA approval before a deal could possibly be made.
According to reports reaching Citi Sports, Sulemana is on board joining Ajax and has agreed personal terms with the Dutch club.
Should the deal get completed, it would bring Sulemana’s underwhelming time at The Saints to an end after joining the English Premier League side from Stade Rennes in the French Ligue 1.
In 18 Premier League games, Sulemana scored twice and registered an assist and has missed out on playing in any of Southampton’s three games in the 2024-2025 season to injury. In the 2023-2024 season, Sulemana spent the campaign in the EFL Championship.
#Ajax heeft op de valreep, dus net op tijd, de documenten voor de huur van Kamaldeen Sulemana (22) ingeleverd, maar nog altijd geen bevestiging ontvangen.

The former Right to Dream Academy player’s injury situation prevented him from being considered for a call up to the Black Stars for 2025 AFCON qualifiers against Angola and Niger this month.
