Black Stars head coach Otto Addo has described his team’s 2-0 loss to Sudan as a “hard pill” to swallow in a post-game interview.

Ghana conceded in the 62nd minute and 65th minute at the Martyrs of February Stadium in Libya after playing out a goalless draw with Ghana in Accra.

The loss means that Ghana’s chances of qualifying to the 2025 AFCON in Morocco have dwindled sharply with the Black Stars having just two points from four games.

“Everybody was down and it (the loss) was a really really hard pill to take. It’s not over yet, mathematically, there is still a chance and we will do everything which is in our hands to hold this chance alive.”

Black Stars head coach Otto Addo

“We have a lot of things to learn and I think it’s a good experience. It’s really shameful that we didn’t at least win our home games to get in a good situation for the away games and we have to do better. It’s very painful but we can use this surely to learn out of our mistakes.”
