Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum believes that in-form forward, Albert Amoah, can offer more to the club despite scoring four goals in seven games in the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season.

He said this after Amoah scored for the third game in a row as Kotoko drew 1-1 with league debutants Basake Holy Stars at Ayinase.

Amoah picked up a pass just inside the half of Holy Stars and beat the nearest defender with his skill and speed before his attempted cross that came off as a shot, ended up in the net.

The 22 year old former Accra Great Olympics player’s goal in the 35th minute was however cancelled out by Prince Tweneboah in the 82nd minute.

Speaking about the result in a post-game interview, Dr. Ogum congratulated Amoah for his fine production but urged him do more.

“I think he’s done well but then if you look at his energy and game intelligence, I think there’s a lot that he can offer this team so I want to congratulate him and then urge him on to continue doing what he is doing and improve upon it.”
