Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum has pointed to underrating Basake Holy Stars as the biggest threat for his club ahead of this weekend’s clash.

The Week 8 Ghana Premier League 2024-2025 season matchup kicks off at 15:00 GMT on Sunday, October 27 at the CAM Park in Ayinase.

Kotoko go into the game having won three straight games with Kotoko winning all three games via a 1-0 margin.

Speaking ahead of the game, Dr. Ogum called for his team not to underrate the league debutants who have two wins, a draw and four losses in seven games.

“I think the only threat they can pose to us is when we underrate them. It’s a psychological thing; if we underrate them, then it will go against us but then if we take them to be like any other side in the Ghana Premier League and approach them with the attitude we use to play against any of the other renowned sides in the league, I think there wouldn’t be any threat.”
