Ghana forward Jordan Ayew has touted his football abilities after scoring the winning goal to round off Leicester City’s thrilling 3-2 comeback win over Southampton.

The Black Stars player run towards the near post to meet a pass from a corner kick attempt and steered the ball into the net in the 98th minute to give Leicester back to back wins in the league.

The timing of his performance was crucial after enduring a frustrating time during the international break with Ghana. The Black Stars lost 2-0 and drew goalless with Sudan in back to back 2025 AFCON qualification games.

In a post-game interview, the veteran player described scoring his first league goal for Leicester as a special moment and added that,

“Special moment because it was obviously my first goal for the club in the league and it took a bit of time but I have belief in myself, I have belief in my abilities and I know that I can bring in a lot of things…and I’m happy for them as well (fans) and happy for myself and family as well.”
