Medeama Sporting Club have lost for the first time in the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season after losing 2-0 to Bechem United away from home.

The Tarkwa side were unbeaten in five games but came undone in Bechem after conceding goals in the sixth minute from Dalvin Yeboah and Emmanuel Abban in the 44th minute.

Speaking in the post-game presser, Medeama head coach Nebojsa Kapor, pointed to mistakes his team committed in the contest and how open his team was against one of the better teams in transition.

“When you open much like us today and just after a few minutes…one very big mistake and you are not ready for this. No one team in the world is ready for these mistakes but also but this is also part of football I don’t blame my players. We were trying to create something in the first half… my players positions a little forward opened up  too much space for Bechem and they are very good and maybe one of the best teams in Ghana in transitions.”

Medeama take on Nations FC next on October 18. Scroll down to watch interview.
