Six games into the 2024-2025 Ghana Premier League season, Kumasi Asante Kotoko Sporting Club have yet to score more than a goal in a game.

Despite ranking second in the league at the time of writing, Kotoko have scored just a goal per game in six games played this season with the team recording three consecutive 1-0 wins at its temporal home ground, the Obuasi Len Clay Stadium.

Ahead of Kotoko’s league game against Basake Holy Stars at Ayinase on Sunday, October 27 at 15:00 GMT, Kotoko head coach Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum called for his team to score more goals.

“We need to score more goals. The more you score more goals, the more confident you become; you know that at any point in time within a game, you can score goals. I’m sure as I have already said, with time, the goals will come… but then if we are unable to score more goals but we score and we are able to defend the goal, I think it boils down to the same three points.”
