Ghana center Amida Brimah is feeling upbeat about his move to Valencia Basketball Club from fellow Liga Endesa side Baxi Manresa.
The 30 year old 6 foot 10 inch defender joined Valencia on a deal that will see him play out the remainder of the 2024-2025 season.
Brimah played out the first two months of the season with Manresa on a “loan contract” as an injury replacement where in eight games, he averaged 3.4 points, 3.1 rebounds and 1.5 blocks in just 12 minutes.
His blocks stat leads the Endesa League which is widely regarded as the second best basketball league in the world behind the NBA.
The former University of Connecticut player was presented at the club alongside Kayla Alexander who joined Valencia’s female basketball team. Speaking at the presentation, Brimah said,
“Very excited to be here. This club is a great club. This is my first year playing in Spain and everything I’ve heard about Valencia Basket has been good things.”

“I know it’s a high-level club, a club that wants to help the players, that’s why I came here, to try to collaborate to help the team win. The best thing I can contribute is defense.”

Brimah won the NBA G-League with Austin Spurs and the Belgian league with Filou Oostende.
