Chairman of the MTN FA Cup committee, Wilson Arthur, has stated that more mini draws to determine pairings in the preliminary rounds of the competition are to be held outside Accra.
Such draws at various locations in Ghana will aid in promoting games in the competition at the base in a decentralized model rather than a centralized model.
He made this statement in an exclusive interview on Channel One TV’s Football Made In Ghana ahead of the Round of 64 games this weekend. The round of 64 draw was held in Takoradi in Ghana’s Western Region.
“We are going to have live mini draws outside Accra for the next round, round of 16, round of 32 and then we come and have the last draw, the quarterfinals, in Accra.”
