AFC Bournemouth manager Andoni Iraola says his club is focusing on the positives from Antoine Semenyo’s suspension.
He said this in a pre-game interview ahead of Bournemouth’s English Premier League game against Wolverhampton Wanderers at the Molineaux on Saturday, November 30 at 15:00 GMT.
Semenyo has been suspended for the tie after picking up his fifth yellow card of the season in Bournemouth’s 2-1 loss to Brighton and Hove Albion in the past round.
The Black Stars player has been one of The Cherries’ best performers to start the 2024-2025 season with four goals in 12 games and is an “important player” for Bournemouth according to Iraola but the Spanish manager pointed to the positives in Semenyo’s absence for the upcoming game.
“We will have Antoine out, he is obviously another important player…and he was doing very good things. With the international break he had, I think we will focus it in a positive way and he can have like a small break and then be ready again for a very demanding month of December.”
