Kumasi Asante Kotoko’s Head Coach, Dr. Prosper Narteh Ogum, has emphasized the need for his team to put in extra effort if they aim to secure a strong position in the 2024/25 Ghana Premier League.

Kotoko has suffered three consecutive defeats, with the latest loss against Bechem United in an away match on Matchday 11.

These recent setbacks followed earlier defeats to Heart of Lions in Obuasi and Legon Cities in Accra.

In a post-match interview, Dr. Ogum stressed the importance of winning in football and urged his players to correct the mistakes that led to their recent losses, focusing on reclaiming valuable points.

“I think we need to work harder than before and make sure that we win because the game is about winning.”

“When you win you get the point ,you don’t win you don’t get the point.”

“We need to work harder, look at the errors that are recurring in the team and make sure we design drills to correct them.”

Looking ahead, Kotoko will face Nations FC at home in their Matchday 11 fixture before travelling to Dormaa to take on Aduana Stars.

The team will then prepare for a highly anticipated clash with arch-rivals Hearts of Oak on Matchday 13.
