Swedru All Black Stars striker Rudolf Nana Mensah believes competing in the Access One Division One League Zone 2 is very tough because of the presence of several traditional football clubs in the zone.

He said this in an exclusive interview with Citi Sports in the aftermath of All Blacks 1-1 draw with the Black Galaxies. The Galaxies are preparing to play against Nigeria ahead of a crucial tie against Nigeria in the 2025 CHAN qualifiers.

Having competed in the Division One Zone 3 with Golden Kick, Mensah ranked the Zone 2 as very tough when comparing the zones.

“I think Zone 2 is very tough. Unlike the Zone 3, Zone 3 we love to play around with the ball a little bit but the Zone 2 is very tough. You know most of the traditional clubs are in Zone 2 so when they are coming for matches, it goes beyond just a normal league match.”

Rudolf Mensah

“It’s more or less like two towns against each other…and we are still trying our best and doing our best to get to the top.”

Traditional clubs like New Edubiase, Sekondi Eleven Wise, Nzema Kotoko and Cape Coast Mysterious Ebusua Dwarfs compete in Zone 2. All Blacks lead the standings with 18 points from eight games.
